Shiffrar Grading & Excavating was founded in 2018. Nick Shiffrar has over 30 years of experience on heavy equipment, which started at the age of 12 helping his grandfather and father with their dry farming business based in Nipomo, CA. Most of Nick’s spare time was spent on a tractor which helped him further develop his natural talent for operating heavy equipment. After graduating high school, Nick started his career in construction working for various companies on the Central Coast, and after gaining over 20 years of progressive experience in construction he decided to start his own company.  With the help of his wife, Melissa, and many other supportive friends and family, Shiffrar Grading & Excavating has continued to grow as a family owned business with a focus on personalized service that exceeds client expectations. The company is now based out of Santa Margarita, CA and services all of San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County. Nick continues to be the main operator for the business ensuring that the whole process goes smoothly for every client, and Melissa oversees all administrative office work to ensure our customers and vendors are all kept in the loop and happy.
